TOP Oss (abbreviation of Tot Ons Plezier Oss), called TOP until 1994 and FC Oss from 2009 to 2018, is a professional football organization from Oss (Noord-Brabant). From the 2018/19 season, the club has the name TOP Oss again, as the club was also called between 1994 and 2009. The club currently plays in the First Division.
Dean van der Sluys (Oss, August 29, 1995) is a Dutch professional football player, who usually plays as a left rear. In July 2014, he exchanged FC Den Bosch for FC Oss.
Van der Sluys played in his birthplace for RKSV Margriet, where he was scouted by professional club FC Oss. He left that club after a while for FC Den Bosch, but in the summer of 2014 the defender returned to FC Oss. Van der Sluys made his debut for the club on November 23, 2014, when 2-2 was tied against Sparta Rotterdam. During this game, coach Wil Boessen allowed him to substitute Jeffrey Ket fifteen minutes before time. At that moment, it was right after both Paul Gladon and Justin Mathieu had scored. Both players also hit the goal after the defender's raid. His first goal followed on March 14, 2016, against his old club FC Den Bosch. He gave Oss a lead fourteen minutes before time, Richard van der Venne and Arda Havar had already scored. In the injury time, Istvan Bakx decided the score at 3–1. In the 2016/17 season, he was unable to play under coach François Gesthuizen. When he was fired, Klaas Wels came as an interim trainer and he let Van der Sluys play six more games at the end of the season. His commitment was also extended to mid-2018, with an option for an extra year. After this season, Wels became responsible for Oss and Van der Sluys was given a permanent base position in the 2017/18 season. This was also the option in his contract.
