SV ARC (Sports Association Alphense Racing Club) is an amateur football association founded on February 22, 1927 from Alphen aan den Rijn, South Holland, the Netherlands. The home games have been played at the Sportpark Zegersloot since 1983, which can accommodate 9,000 spectators. Before that, the matches were finished on “de Bijlen”, “Nieuwe sloot” and on Steenstraat. The club has been working with FC Utrecht since early 2010.
In the 2017/18 season, the association had approximately 1,600 members, divided among eighteen senior teams, two women's teams and over 60 youth teams (including girls' teams). ARC has also been active in indoor football since the 2016/17 season.
The standard team returns to the Dutch big league after six seasons in the First Division in the 2019/20 season.
In 1986, ARC promoted to the First Division, then the highest division in Saturday amateur football. That was the first time in Saturday amateur football that was introduced in 1970. ARC remained at the highest level up to and including the 2001/02 season, now known as the big league from the 1996/97 season. The highlight was the championship of the big league A in the season 1997/98. In the 2002/03 season, ARC played in the First Division in which it became the direct champion and returned to the big league after a season. In the 2005/06 season, ARC relegated again, now it took two seasons to return. Through the follow-up, ARC reached the Dutch big league again for the 2008/09 season. In the 2009/10 season, the club qualified for the Top Division, which started at the start of the 2010/11 season. ARC was the last club to advance to the Top Division by winning a Be duel 1887 playoff after penalty kicks on June 19, 2010 (tie 1-1 after regular time and overtime). Relegation followed in the second season (2011/12) from the Top Division. In the following season (2012/13), relegation from the big league also followed immediately. A season later, ARC was almost immediately back in the Dutch big league, but fell 1 goal short in the post-competition.
ARC played a number of times in the national KNVB cup tournament. In the 1998/99 and 1999/00 seasons, the club did not get past the group stage. SV Venray retired 4-0 in the 2010/11 season. A round later, premier divisionist Heracles Almelo was 3-0 too strong. A season later 2011/12, Quick'20 was beaten 6-2. The round after that, it was again eliminated by a professional club, this time MVV Maastricht was 8-0 too strong.
