RKVV DSS is a Dutch amateur football club from Haarlem that was founded on October 7, 1919. The club is located at the Pim Muliersportpark in Haarlem-Noord.
Jaap and Jan Schipper, Jan and Piet Kraakman, Wim and Joseph Hamers and Frans van Reijsen: seven schoolboys aged around 14 decide to set up a football club in the summer of 1919. The boys call their association SDS, Sterk Door Samenspel. And the seven opt for a yellow-black shirt in vertical stripes, with trousers that are not white but black. Four years later, in 1923, they change the name to DSS, because there is already another club called SDS in Amsterdam. They also immediately change the club colors in red-green.
The standard team played in the Fourth Division Sunday of the KNVB district West-I in the 2021/22 season.
Women
The first women's football team was classified in the Topklasse for the 2021/22 season where it replaced SteDoCo. The two previous seasons were spent in the big league on Saturday, also the class in which it played in a combined team as DSS/Jong Telstar in 2015/16.
