The Panama national football team is a team of football players that represents Panama in international competitions such as the (qualifying) matches for the World Cup, the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the Copa Centroamericana. In March 2014, the team achieved the highest position ever in the FIFA world rankings with 29th place; in August 1995 the lowest position was reached with 150th place. Panama lost its participation in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in the injury time of the last qualifying match in 2013. In 2017, the Central American country managed to qualify for a World Cup final round for the first time. Panama's first ever goal at the World Cup was scored in the group stage against England (6-1 defeat) in 2018 and came from the foot of Felipe Baloy.
