The Husumer Sportverein , today the Husumer Sportclub since 1875 e.V., is a multi-sports club from Husum . It was created from the merger of TSV Husum 1875 with LAV Husum and the aforementioned. Husumer SV was founded on 1 July 2022 and, according to its own statements, is the largest sports club in North Frisia . In 2024, the Husumer Kegler club also joined it.

On 25 February 1994, the time had come: the two clubs from Husum, which had been rivals for 70 years and had split up due to a difference of opinion, the Husumer Fußballverein von 1918 e. V. and the Husumer Spoorwegsportvereniging Frisia from 1925 e. V. , merged to form the Sportbond Husum and this merger was crowned with success, because in the year of the merger the club achieved third place in the district league and was promoted to the then second highest league in Schleswig-Holstein , the Landesliga Nord. In the following season the team no longer had to deal with the feared relegation and finished in a safe 5th place. A year later they finally achieved a fourth place. Nevertheless, promotion to the highest division in Schleswig-Holstein, the Verbandsliga , in the 1996/97 season under coach Alfred Hußner with 67 points and a goal difference of 60:24 was not expected by most.
