Williams Martini Racing (2014–2018)

In March 2013 it was announced that Claire Williams will be in charge of the team on a daily basis. She is the daughter of founder Frank Williams. She took over many of her father's tasks. On May 30, 2013, Williams and Mercedes-Benz announced that they had entered into a long-term agreement. In addition to 1.6 liter V6 turbo engines, Mercedes will also provide the Williams team with an ERS (Energy Recovery System). Williams will continue to produce its own gearboxes. After Pastor Maldonado left with his sponsorship money to Lotus F1 Team, they also needed a new main sponsor. That became Martini.
