Ceramiche Ariostea was a top Italian cycling team in the 1980s and 1990s and was sponsored by a ceramics manufacturer.
The team was founded in 1984 with Giorgio Vannucci at the helm. The team management was taken over by Giancarlo Ferretti in 1986 and the team became increasingly successful over the years. In total, Ariostea won sixteen stages in the Tour of Italy and six in the Tour de France. In addition, Ariostea riders won eight more classics.
The team was disbanded again in 1993, but all riders of the Ariostea team easily found a new employer. Ferretti also found a new team and ended up at GB-MG Maglificio.
