Jeremy Helmer(Amstelveen, July 3, 1997) is a Dutch footballer who usually plays as a midfielder. He moved on from AZ's youth academy in 2016.
Helmer started playing football at SV Diemen before ending up in the youth academy of AZ. On June 27, 2013, the midfielder signed his first contract, which took effect on July 3 of that year, on his sixteenth birthday. The contract ran until mid-2016. In July 2015, he extended his contract until mid-2019 with an option for two additional years.
In the 2016/17 season, Helmer moved up to the first team. On September 21, 2016, he made his debut for AZ in the KNVB Cup match against FC Lienden. He came in the final minutes and provided the assist for the 1−4, which was also the final score. In the eighth final against ASWH, Helmer started in the starting line-up for the first time and played the entire match. AZ won the match 2−0 thanks to goals from Robert Mühren and Fred Friday. Helmer made his debut in the Eredivisie on February 19, 2017 in the away match at Willem II as a substitute after 61 minutes for Mats Seuntjes.
After years of injuries, Helmer trained with Third Divisionist IJsselmeervogels in 2024. Here he signed a contract for the 2024/25 season.
