Cel Teunen(born 19 March 2003 in Lier) is a Belgian footballer who has played for Lyra-Lierse since 2023.
Teunen exchanged the youth academy of Lierse SK for that of PSV in 2015. Five years later he returned to the old nest, albeit with Lierse Kempenzonen, one of the two spiritual successors of the now bankrupt Lierse SK. In August 2021, Teunen signed his first professional contract there.
On September 4, 2021, he made his official debut in the first team of Lierse Kempenzonen: in the cup match against Rupel Boom FC (2-0 win), coach Tom Van Imschoot brought him on as a substitute for Tibeau Swinnen in the 85th minute. On April 17, 2022, Van Imschoot came on as a substitute in the 84th minute on the final day of the competition against Excelsior Virton, again for Swinnen.
After the 2021/22 season, Teunen, who had an expiring contract, received a contract extension of one season.
In the 2022/23 season, Teunen was no longer given official playing minutes in the first team, after which it was announced in March 2023 that the young twenty-something would switch to city rivals Lyra-Lierse after the season. There he was immediately given a permanent place in the team of trainer Bart De Roover. Even before the end of his debut season, Lyra-Lierse broke his contract until mid-2026.
