FC Crotone is an Italian football club from Crotone, Calabria. Since 2021, the club has played in the Serie B, the second division of Italy.

Led by trainer-coach Ivan Jurić, Crotone secured himself for the first time in history of promotion to Serie A on Friday 29 April 2016. The club drew 1-1 against Modena that day. She was therefore certain of at least second place in the Serie B and with that direct promotion. In the first season at the highest level, Crotone didn't get off the ground until the final day: the team won 3-1 against Lazio Roma on May 28, including two goals from Andrea Nalini, so that the 18th place was passed to Empoli FC. that went down 2-1 in the last round at the already relegated US Palermo.

At the end of the 2017/18 season, however, the curtain fell again for the club in the highest division. Like Benevento and Hellas Verona, Crotone was relegated to Serie B. In the 2018/19 season, the club finished in a desolate 12th place and did not return to Serie A. At the end of the 2019-20 season, the club, led by coach Giovanni Stroppa, returned to Serie A after a 2-year absence. The club managed to secure second place on 24 July 2020, good for direct promotion. After one year back in Serie A, Crotone finished in 19th place and was relegated again to Serie B for the 2021/22 season.
