AIK Fotboll is the football department and the most popular part of the sports club AIK in Solna. It is one of the largest football clubs in Sweden and plays in the Allsvenskan. AIK's home base is the Friends Arena, located in Solna. Before 1937 the club played in Stockholm itself. The club was founded in 1891 and the football department was founded in 1896.

AIK became national champions twelve times and is third in the Allsvenskan's eternal rankings. The club holds the record for most seasons in the Swedish top level. Moreover, AIK is the club that finished in the top 3 most often in this century, namely 11 times. The most recent national championship was in 2018.

AIK is affiliated with the Stockholm Football Association and is the only team from Stockholm to have played European football. The club reached the quarter-finals of the 1996/97 European Cup Winners' Cup, qualified for the group stage of the 1999/00 Champions League and took part in the group stage of the 2012/13 Europa League.
