Liverpool FC is an English football club founded on 15 March 1892 by John Houlding, the owner of Anfield, after he was banned by Everton over a rent dispute. The club plays its home games at Anfield. The stadium is located in the neighborhood of the same name. The stadium will be extensively renovated in the coming years after plans for a new stadium, Stanley Park Stadium, proved unfeasible. The renovated stadium will accommodate 60,000 spectators. Given their achievements and trophies won, Liverpool are among the European and world top in football.
