AJ Auxerre is a French professional football club from Auxerre. The club was founded in 1905 and is renowned for its youth academy. The club has played continuously in Ligue 1 since 1980, but was relegated to Ligue 2 in 2012. Auxerre plays in a blue and white uniform and its home ground is the Stade l'Abbé-Deschamps.

The club is inextricably linked with club icon Guy Roux, who worked successfully for more than forty years between 1961 and 2005 as head coach of AJ Auxerre.
