Associazione Calcio Chievo Verona, or Chievo Verona for short, is an Italian football club, founded in 1929 and released in the Serie B. The club plays its home games at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, together with Hellas Verona.
The club was founded as Paluani Chievo, where Chievo stood for the name of a neighborhood in Verona and Paluani for the biscuit factory, which owned the club. The club only became a professional club in 1986 and the name was changed to Chievo Verona. They were admitted to the Serie C2 and promoted in 2001 under coach Luigi Delneri to the Serie A. The season is the club fifth and so just lacks qualification for the Champions League.
