Borussia Dortmund is a German football club from Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia. The club also has a handball and table tennis department. The club plays in the largest stadium of the Bundesliga, the Signal Iduna Park. The club colors are black-yellow. The arch-rival of Dortmund is Schalke 04, from nearby Gelsenkirchen. Mutual competitions are known as the Kohlenpott derby. Nowadays Bayern Munich is also a rival of Dortmund. The matches between these two rivals are known as Der Klassiker. The club won eight league titles and was the first German club in 1966 to win a European cup. In 1997 the club also won the Champions League and the world cup for club teams. They have the largest number of supporters in the world each year.
