Arsène Wenger became the manager of Arsenal on 30 September 1996. Twenty years later, Wenger was the longest-serving and also the most successful coach in club history. With his long-term employment, he also became the longest-serving coach in the Premier League. However, Wenger is not the coach with the greatest seniority at the highest English level because the Premier League has only existed since 1992.
