In the 2019/20 season, the 117th year of the football club, Go Ahead Eagles played in the Dutch First Division (Keuken Kampioen Divisie), the second highest football competition in the Netherlands, for the third year in a row and took part in the tournament for the TOTO KNVB cup. Jack de Gier was hired as trainer for this season. This season marks the centenary of De Adelaarshorst, but the festivities and the anniversary match against TOP Oss scheduled for May 1, 2020 were postponed to 2021 due to the corona crisis.
