Berkant Göktan(born 12 December 1980, Munich) is a former Turkish football player who grew up in Germany. He became the first Turkish football player to win the UEFA Champions League cup with Bayern Munich in 2001.
When he could not make the squad at Bayern Munich the following season, he was transferred to Galatasaray in 2001. He wore the yellow-red jersey for the first time on 25 July 2001 in the UEFA Champions League 2nd qualifying round match against Vllaznia Shkodër. He played for Galatasaray for the first time in the league against Gaziantepspor on 12 August 2001. On 23 December 2001, he entered the game in the 79th minute when Yimpaş lost 3-1 against Yozgatspor. Two minutes later, after the score became 3-2 with Sergen Yalçın, he scored his first Galatasaray goal with the penalty he used in the 87th minute and brought the draw. He completed the season with 5 goals and this time won a league championship with Galatasaray. That season, they succeeded in reaching the second group level in the Champions League.
The 2002-03 season was not very successful for Göktan. Even though he had the chance to play in only 11 matches in the league, he scored 3 goals. While they were eliminated by Malatyaspor in the quarter-finals of the Turkish Cup, he received a red card after two yellow cards in 35 minutes. The football player, who did not have much playing time in the following season, could not score a goal.
