The 2020/21 season is the 56th year in the existence of the Enschede football club FC Twente.

After the championship in the First Division in the 2018/19 season and a fourteenth place in the Eredivisie in the 2019/20 season, which was interrupted by the corona crisis, Twente will again play in the Eredivisie this year. She also participates in the KNVB Cup tournament.

The Jong FC Twente promising team has been disbanded as of this season and replaced by an Under 21 team that is part of the FC Twente / Heracles Academy.
