Tom Jan Hiariej (Winschoten, July 25, 1988) is a Dutch football player who played as a defender or midfielder for FC Emmen, SC Cambuur, FC Groningen and Central Coast Mariners.

In the youth he played for VV ZNC before he entered the youth academy of FC Groningen. The midfielder was transferred during the 2007/2008 season by FC Groningen coach Ron Jans from the A1 to the first team. In the match of FC Groningen against N.E.C. on January 23, 2008 Hiariej was accurate for Groningen for the first time. During his time at Groningen, Hiariej was rented out twice; to FC Emmen and SC Cambuur. In May 2017, he transferred to Australia to play in Gosford with Central Coast Mariners. After training with the selection for a few weeks, he signed another one-year contract with FC Emmen in July 2019.
