FC Internazionale Milano, also known as Internazionale, Inter or Inter Milano, is a football club from Italy, founded on March 9, 1908 by a number of "rebels" who could not agree with the rules of the Milan Cricket and Football Club, now better known as AC Milan. The main objection was that no foreign players were allowed. In 1928 the club merged under pressure with US Milanese and went on living for a time as Ambrosiana-Inter.
The club is one of the two participants in the derby d'Italia. Juventus-Inter is the classic in Italy.
The club plays in a blue / black outfit, and the home base is the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (better known as San Siro).
Internazionale belongs to the European and world top. The club won three times the European Cup I / UEFA Champions League, three times the UEFA Cup, twice the world cup for club teams and once the world championship for club teams. The greatest success happened in the 1960s under the leadership of Argentine trainer Helenio Herrera.
Due to the scandal in the Serie A, Inter was awarded the title of the 2005/2006 championship, although the club only finished third. Internazionale is to date still the only Italian football team that has played in it continuously since the establishment of the Serie A. Internazionale equaled Juventus with 5 national titles in a row.
