Description
Clube Desportivo Nacional is a Portuguese football club from Funchal on the island of Madeira.
The club was founded in 1910 and is the great rival of CS Marítimo, Madeira's other club. Marítimo is generally more successful than Nacional, but in recent years Nacional has finished in the top five twice.
CD Nacional played from 1957 to 1998 at the Estádio dos Barreiros, home of CS Marítimo.
