Guillermo Barros Schelotto(born May 4, 1973 in La Plata) is an Argentine former professional football player and football coach. He is the twin brother of Gustavo Barros Schelotto.
Guillermo and his brother Gustavo went through childhood together at Gimnasia La Plata. Guillermo made his breakthrough to the first team almost a year earlier. In 1993 he won the Copa Centenario with the club. On September 14, 1997, he transferred to Boca Juniors. Guillermo and his brother Gustavo were recommended by Diego Maradona to Boca's club management and were subsequently brought in. Together with Martín Palermo he became a successful striker duo. With the club he won several national and international titles, although he had to miss some big moments due to injuries. After Alfio Basile became a coach, he got less playing time and in 2007 he switched to the American Columbus Crew, with which he also won some prizes. He ended his career where it started, at Gimnasia La Plata, refusing to be paid.
In 2012 he started his coaching career at Lanús. On March 1, 2016, he was appointed coach of Boca Juniors. Since January 2019, Schelotto has been head coach of LA Galaxy.
