Bucaspor is a Turkish sports club founded in Buca, a district of the city of İzmir, located in the Aegean Region. The club colors are navy blue and yellow, and the home ground of the football club is Yeni Buca Stadı. In addition to being a football club, Bucaspor is also an association for swimming, volleyball, taekwondo, basketball, gymnastics and water polo; however, these are amateur industries. The club plays in the Spor Toto 2. Lig.
Bucaspor was founded on March 11, 1928 as Buca İdman Yurdu. Its first chairman was Muzaffer Ersezgin. From that moment on, the team was active in the Turkish amateur divisions. In 1937 the club merged with Altay and Altınordu to form Üçokspor. Two years later, in 1939, these teams split up again. In 1984 the club turned professional and they were allowed to play football in the TFF 1. Lig. Since then, the club has been active in the Spor Toto 3. Lig and the Spor Toto 2. Lig. In 2010, Bucaspor was allowed to play in the Süper Lig, but this lasted a single season.
