Replay
Replay is an Italian clothing brand. It was launched in 1978 by Claudio Buziol, who was 21 years old at the time.
The company behind Replay is Fashion Box SpA. which was founded in 1981 and is located in Asolo. Fashion Box SpA. focuses on both adults (Replay) and children (Replay & Sons). It specializes in jeans and denim clothing.
Fashion Box SpA. operates in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North and South America and Africa and has 220 stores under its own management. The company also supplies department stores and boutiques in the higher segment. The brand is available at approximately 5000 points of sale. In 2009, the company had a turnover of 272 million euros. Europe is by far the largest sales market: 85% of turnover was achieved in Europe, of which 18% in Italy.
Since 2010, 51% of the shares of Fashion Box S.p.A. owned by Equibox Holding SpA, which is led by Matteo and Massimo Sinigaglia. The rest of the shares are owned by the descendants of Buziol, who died in 2005.
Claudio Buziol came up with the brand name Replay during the 1978 World Cup in Argentina. He kept seeing the word re-play appear on the screen during a match. This term, he said, fit well with a line of vintage-style clothing.
Replay was one of the main sponsors of the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2011 and 2012
