AFC Bournemouth is an English football club based in Bournemouth, founded in 1899. The club plays its home games at the Dean Court stadium in Boscombe, Bournemouth. The club secured promotion to the Premier League for the first time in history on April 27, 2015.

After the club was able to pass off relegation from Football League Two in the 2008/09 season, the club was promoted to Football League One at the end of the 2009/10 season. After making it to the semi-finals of the play-offs for promotion in the 2010/11 season and finishing 11th in the 2011/12 season, Bournemouth was promoted to the Football League Championship at the end of the 2012/13 season. It was the second time in the history of the football club that this success has been achieved.
