Amsterdam Sports Association De Dijk is a Dutch amateur football club from Amsterdam-Noord in the province of North Holland. The club was founded on June 1, 1999 after a merger between Rood-Wit A and ASV Schellingwoude. Red, white and blue are the club colors.
The club had great ambitions and wanted to eventually reach professional football. In 2017, it became champion of the Third Division and rose to the highest amateur level, the Second Division, for the first time in history. After one year, De Dijk was relegated. Because there were too many Sunday clubs active in the Third Division, the club from Amsterdam-Noord remained active in the Saturday division. Then the main sponsor withdrew and things went downhill, as another relegation to the Premier League (Fourth Division from 2022) followed. ASV De Dijk also continued to play there in the Saturday competition.
Because this standard team is officially registered with the KNVB as a "Sunday team", but for practical reasons still played on Saturdays, the "official" standard team was no longer registered in the Third Division on Saturdays in 2022 in preparation for the weekend football introduced from 2023. , where ASV De Dijk would continue to play in the Fourth Division on Saturday.
The decline continued in the 2022/23 season. ASV De Dijk finished at the bottom with the exceptionally poor result of five points from thirty games and were relegated to the First Division.
