Ajax Women is a women's professional football team from Amsterdam. It is the women's branch of and is part of the football club AFC Ajax. The team was founded on May 18, 2012 and has been playing in the Eredivisie ever since. The women usually play their matches at Sportpark De Toekomst. There are also matches that are played in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Ajax won its first championship in the 2016/17 season. After being at the top all season, the title for Ajax Women can be added to the club's honors list. Retiring coach Ed Engelkes and players Daphne Koster and Anouk Hoogendijk could not have wished for a better end to their career. After winning the championship, Ajax also won the KNVB Cup. They beat PSV 2–0 in the final. Ajax achieved the first double in history by becoming champions and winning the cup.
