Description
The 2016/2017 season was the 5th year in the existence of the Amsterdam women's football club AFC Ajax. The club played in the Eredivisie and won the national championship for the first time in its existence. The championship was also celebrated in the KNVB Cup tournament. PSV were defeated 2–0 in the final.
